Brother Daahir Rayaale, slumber party is over:
A Clear Message to the President of Somaliland.

Brother Rayaale, since your militia rolled into LasAnod 457 days ago, the people of Sool had been living in dire straits. Due to your illegal incursions and aggressive behavior LasAnod is today a haunted house. The bulk of her former inhabitants have fled their homes and the remaining are terrorized day and night.

In contravention of the rule of the land, you've turned the lives of our nomads and villagers into a nightmare and reduced Sool into a no man's land. This is sad and we can no longer watch from the sidelines.
By raiding an independent Somali territory, you've created Fitn among the Ummah and preached an unwritten code of conduct that'd served well brotherly co-existence. In doing so, you violated the sanctity and dignity of our people and returned us to the Stone Age.

Knowing full well our unambiguous stand on unity and how important it is for us to safeguard harmony among our people, you entered our homes from the back door and bribed your way to our villages. This is unethical and unacceptable. Sool, Sanaag and Cayn are territories that belong to the Somali people of that region. We call this place home in the same way you'd call Awdal home.

Even though we'd every right to react hastily, we took the high moral ground and employed patience and hoped you'll see the light, sooner rather than later. But you refused to gauge our feelings and blindly followed your own desires.

Brother Rayaale, every good thing comes to an end, reality is knocking on your door. There is a limit to our tolerance, and now we've reached a point where we can no longer overlook your fraudulent activities in our backyard.

Anger is mounting and resistance is gathering momentum. You already know what is happening in Buuhoodle and you're aware of what transpired in Widhwidh. You also know what our traditional leaders have been telling you from day one.

The message is, and will always be, the same. Sool, Sanaag and Cayn are not for sale. You've no right over our ancestral territory, just as we've no right of ownership over your ancestral territory.

We say to you now and we said it before, the rogue elements that you contracted to do your bidding are your contractors, not our agents. They are freelancers. We did not hire them and they do not represent us.
A Somali brother, you'll always have a place in our hearts, and you'll always be a member of our family, but make no mistake, you'll never be welcome on the backs of Xaabsade and Sandule.

Likewise, as native Somalis we take offence at being labeled "former British land" or "former Italian land." We were Somalis before the British and the Italian came and we were still Somalis after they left.

I understand, these are desperate times, there's an election coming, but using innocent children to swell number of voters is dishonest, illegal and undemocratic, as are the back allay photo shoots meant to con the international community. If you want to stand alone, use your own legs. Fraud is not the way. You know where your God-given borders begin and you know where they end. You can not fool us and you can not fool the International Community.

Brother Rayaale, you're sitting on a ticking bomb, slumber party is over.
